About project
CHT2 Cultural Heritage Through Time is an international project being realized by four institutions from Italy, United Kingdom, Spain and Poland, with the funds granted by the European Union.
The purpose of the project is to investigate changes in the selected historical objects through time. Time-varying 3D models are useful to perform analysis on lost scenarios and changes caused by for example human activity or wars. There have been choosen interesting places from historical, architectural, cultural and turistic point of view that were located in above mentioned countries.
The project utilizes archival data, properly prepared by architects for 3D model manual creation, and contemporary data acquired thanks to modern measurement technologies for an automatic 3D model generation. The final result of the project will be an on-line publication of time-varying 3D models to represent the effect of the passing time on historical objects.
